It was short-lived, as less than a month later they found more and in the end she lost the worst battle of her life. Kay was soft spoken and unassuming and always treated people with kindness. She enjoyed her job at the hospital and was proud of her family and especially loved all of her grandchildren. In June she told me that in the end you only have your family and friends and I am happy to have called her my friend. Your pain and suffering are over, Kay. Rest in peace.
