1961 Classmate Larry D. Maier passed away on Febuary 17th, 2012. He lived at Simonton Lake in Elkhart. Larry is survived by his wife, Teresa R. Rogers Maier, two daughters, Jodi ( Mark ) Freshour of Constantine, Michigan and Monica ( Jason Moore ) Glanders of Elkhart, four grandchildren, one brother Robert K. ( Michele ) Maier Jr. of Ocala, Florida and two sisters, Judith K. ( Leonard ) Jones of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Melody Sue ( Brent ) Robertson of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Samuel Scott Maier and his parents.
Larry attended IUSB and retired as purchasing manager for various recreational vehicle companies after many years. After retirement, he worked for WalMart. He was a member of First Presbyterian BRIDGE worship and was a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters. He enjoyed kayaking.
