1961 Classmate John Collins Growcock passed away Sunday, April 29th, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis, IN. John is survived by his wife, Sherron Gyori Growcock, three children, Julie (Gabriel) Vargas of Thousand Oaks, CA, Jeffery ( Gloria ) Growcock of Brownsburg, IN, and Jennifer ( James ) LeMere of Middleton, WI, three grandchildren, his mother Jane L. Growcock of Elkhart, three brothers, G.David ( Judy McQueen) Growcock of Garfield, AR, Stephen ( Sue Neuffer ) Growcock of Elkhart, and Harry ( Erika ) Growcock of Elkhart, and sister-in-law Mary Beth Growcock of Mason, OH. He was preceded in death by his father George and a brother, William.
John received a degree in business from Ball State University in 1965 and worked in the banking industry for his entire career. He was employed as a VP/chief financial officer for several years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Indiana Large Scale Railroaders and enjoyed his own backyard garden railroad.
