Ed and I were buddies in grade school at Willowdale. He lived on Michigan Street across from Michigan Street Grocery. His mom was a beautician who worked from their home. Both my mom and grandmother went to her to have their hair done. His dad was a tool-and-die man who had several Indian motorcycles. Ed had a very nice Lionel train set that we used to enjoy after school. After grade school we went our separate ways in school direction and career paths, but I always fondly remember the fun we had as young kids growing up.
