Ruby Jewel Sawyer of Granger passed away peacefully on Sunday, November15, 2020 at Bell Tower Health and Rehabilitation Center in Granger.IN. She was born on February 7th, 1943 in Elkhart to the late David Sylvester and Jewel (Mahar) Axsom Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, David Axsom, Jr and Thomas Axsom and a sister Wilmella Axsom..
Surviving are her two sons,Mark “Rattafotus” Sawyer, Scott (Angel) Sawyer and four awesome grandchildren. Alicia (Ricky) Linde, Kayla (Caleb ) Ptak, Nicholas and Autumn Sawyer and her brother Pete Axsom , Jewel’s little Baby Boy”.
Susie was a loving homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and gardening. Per her wishes, cremation was chosen. She will be laid to rest in the family plot at Rice Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held in the spring. Memorials may be given to the charity of one’s choice.
