1961 Classmate Dale Crawford passed away January 20, 2017 at his home in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Surviving are his son, Mike ( Angee ) Crawford, 3 grand-daughters , 1 great grand-daughter and a brother Steven Crawford, all of
Elkhart. Another brother James ( Judith ) Crawford survives in Goshen.
In accordance with his wishes, no service has been scheduled. There will be a private burial in Rice Cemetery in Elkhart.
Dale spent 18 years at Excel in Elkhart and then another 27 years as a ticket agent for Amtrak.
He was an avid “fire buff”, and enjoyed following the science and innovation of modern firefighting as well as visiting various stations and departments and getting to know many of firefighters personally. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
Memorial donations may be given to the Elkhart City Fire Department.
