1961 Classmate Steve Vargo passed away September 18th, 2012 in the emergency room of Elkhart General Hospital. Steve resided in Union, Michigan and is survived by his wife Sonie Vargo of Union ; a daughter, Tammy ( Tim ) Hockabout of Elkhart; a son, Michael ( Tammy ) Vargo of Portage, Indiana; five grandchildren and eight great-grand children.
Steve attended Ball State University and worked for 20 years as a production control manager at the Kent Company in Elkhart. He and his son, Mike, were co-owners of the Tri Lakes Sport Marine in Union. He retired in 2008. He was a member of the Escapees RV Club, Indiana Chapter 51 and enjoyed playing cards, traveling and being on the lake.
